What you’ll learn
This nationally recognised course teaches you how to recognise emergencies and provide immediate first aid while waiting for professional medical assistance.
During your practical training you’ll learn how to:
- Perform CPR on adults, children and infants
- Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Help someone who is choking
- Manage severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis)
- Assist a person experiencing asthma
- Control bleeding and manage shock
- Treat fractures, sprains and dislocations
- Apply slings and bandages
- Respond to snake bites and other envenomation
- Place an unconscious casualty into the recovery position

Frequently Asked Questions
When will I receive my certificate?
Successful participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment through Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909. The certificate is delivered via email usually on the same day as the face-to-face training.
How often should I renew my certificate?
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is generally renewed every 36 months.
Is online learning required?
Yes. The theory component is completed online before attending the practical training session.
